Bei mir war es die Musik. Ich hab damals HipHop gemacht, war mit verschiedenen Bands auch auf Tour in Deutschland, Österreich & Schweiz. Später war ich sogar in einer Rockband. Irgendwo im Netz kursieren noch Songs und Videos aus dieser Zeit. (Viel Spaß beim Suchen 😜)
Dieses Tourfeeling versuche ich mit den Cons irgendwie weiter zu leben.
Als @mangacult den Manga Wandance angekündigt hat, las ich nur die Worte HipHop und ich wusste dieser wird in meiner Sammlung landen.
Es geht hauptsächlich um Tanz, was ich auch liebend gern getan hätte, aber aus Gründen nicht konnte. Dafür hab ich jeden Tanzfilm gesuchtet, der mit HipHop zu tun hatte
Kommen wir endlich zum eigentlichen, dem Manga. Ich finde ihn schön gezeichnet, die Charaktere sehen wundervoll aus, die Story hat mich natürlich direkt gepackt.
Es fängt in der Oberschule an, in der aktuell neue Mitglieder für die verschiedenen Clubs gesucht werden. Ich kenn‘s aus verschiedenen Sport-Manga und Feier es sehr, dass Clubs in Japan so eine große Rolle spielen. In meinen Schulen war das leider nicht der Fall.
Kobaku, ein Maincharakter, sieht zufällig seine Klassenkameradin Hikari beim Tanzen. Er selbst wirkt sehr schüchtern und zurückhaltend, geniert sich scheinbar weil er stottert. Man sieht ihn Basketball spielen, was er wohl nur wegen einem Freund macht.
Er hat einmal getanzt, auch für ein Schulprojekt, hat sich selbst dann in den Aufnahmen gesehen und fand, dass er sehr steif wirkt und hat es seitdem gelassen.
Als er sich mit seinem Freund über‘s „Normal“ oder „komisch“ sein unterhält, fällt der Satz: „ich bin lieber komisch und frei“.
Dieser Satz hat so viel in mir ausgelöst und fühle ich sehr…
Kobaku rennt danach weg und begegnet wieder Hikari während sie tanzt.
Diese Tanzszene ist liebevoll dargestellt und kommt großartig rüber. Ich könnte mir das auch sehr gut als Anime vorstellen.
Kurz darauf sagt Kobaku ihr dass er dem Tanzclub beitreten möchte und die Geschichte geht jetzt erst richtig los
In Japan sind bisher 8 Bände erschienen, gezeichnet vom Mangaka Coffee (lest euch unbedingt das Interview mit Coffee auf @Manga Passion durch!).

Hi everyone!
I would like to recommend "Carole & Tuesday" to you this month. It is a manga with the theme of music, set on Mars, where social media plays a major role and interesting conflicts between the "Mars residents" and "Earth refugees" are discussed.
I found Carole & Tuesday on Netflix a few months ago and searched it through 2 times a few weeks ago. I have to say, a heart from me beats for manga, another heart beats for music (assuming you have several "hearts", I hope you know what I mean). The anime ends with two seasons, the manga with 3 volumes. Ideal for a nice evening or a nice weekend.
Tuesday comes from a wealthy family. Her mother wants to become president of Mars and pursues a very strict and questionable policy, especially towards refugees from Earth. She totally neglects her role as a mother, which is why Tuesday changes her acoustics Guitar snaps and runs away from home.
She meets Carole, who is playing with her keyboard on the street, joins her and they both start to play music together. Carole is an orphan and a refugee from Earth, bites his way through life with various jobs and lives in the ghetto.
Both get along straight away and Carole invites Tuesday to live with her.
Together they start writing songs and thanks to social media they are becoming more and more popular. Social media is just as present there as it is today (only that they use "Musical.ly", that is what "Tiktok" used to be called ^^ ").
We accompany both of them on their way to become famous, with all the pitfalls one can imagine. At some point they end up with a "DSDS" version of Mars, meeting other musicians and new challenges.
The world on Mars is very similar to Earth. Had it not been mentioned at some point that it was set on Mars, I would not have noticed (I mean ... I'm lost af ... but Wayne XD).
It is also important to mention that the music on Mars is actually only made by AIs, artificial intelligences. Carole & Tuesday are the exception who still make music "by hand" and use real instruments, which are even reproduced true to the original.
I like the anime very much, have been close to tears several times and am really looking forward to the manga.
